Hart Davis Hart Auction Co.'s Inaugural Finest & Rarest Watch Auction Realizes $1.5mil

Hart Davis Hart Auction Co. presented its first Auction of Finest & Rarest Watches on Friday, August 25th, 2023. 29 of the 30 lots sold, as the auction brought over $1.5million. The top lot of the day was the Akrivia AK-06, marking the first and highest price for an Akrivia sold at public auction.

One of only 25 pieces crafted by Swiss brand Akrivia, the AK-06 Stainless Steel marked the company's debut on the auction stage. Estimated at $200,000-$300,000, this significant timepiece sold for $549,700.

The auction smartly featured a mix of iconic brands and contemporary independent watchmakers, with the latter category showing significant results. Grönefeld's Remontoire 1941 sold for over $100,000, eclipsing its high estimate. Daniel Roth's stylish limited edition Papillon garnered $59,750.

The company will announce plans for its second luxury watch auction in the near future.
