Hart Davis Hart concluded a smashing success of an Auction of Finest & Rarest Wines last week with multiple new world records achieved. As the end of the first quarter of 2022 approaches, it is clear that the momentum of the fine wine market of 2021 has not faded at all. 2021 was HDH’s most successful year to date with auction sales topping $100M. 2022 is proving even more impressive with 15% year-over-year first quarter growth. Bidders are incredibly enthusiastic with some lots receiving more than 30 bids, driving the total to $12.98 million for the two-day sale, 160% to the pre-sale low estimate of $7.9 million.
