As predicted, last week's auction was our largest of 2022, commanding a total of $12,334,742 and easily surpassing the pre-sale low estimate of $9,047,820. The sale achieved a strong 99.9% sell-through rate over 2019 lots. Burgundy continues to command the highest hammers, while Bordeaux and Champagne also remain near historic highs. The finest producers from Italy and California made strong showings, frequently receiving a flurry of competitive live bids.
In the final weeks of the year, we see strength and consistency in the fine wine market. Records continue to be set in every sale. This is the best time to sell your wines, and HDH is your best possible partner.
